Este Sitio Web -en construcción- tiene como objetivo principal dar a conocer los orígenes y la evolución de la historia y la cultura del maíz en México hasta hoy. Se cubre el período de los orígenes del maíz desde la época prehispánica y su trayectoria hasta nuestros días. Se incluye información que muestra la riqueza de los fondos documentales sobre la historia del maíz en México que están resguardados en diversas instituciones nacionales e internacionales. Se ofrece una amplia bibliografía, iconografía, ensayos y enlaces a sitios importantes nacionales e internacionales sobre su historia y su cultura. Asimismo, se incluyen textos completos de historia del maíz en México, y estadísticas que cubren el período de 1700-2012.
